Discover the 3 Things No One Tells You After an Autism Diagnosis —

so you can decide what matters now, what can wait, and what to do next

without second-guessing every decision.

This Free Webinar Is for You If…

  • You don't know what you should be doing first. There are therapies, school concerns, behaviors, communication, appointments and worries about the future—and everything feels important.

  • You're constantly wondering if you're doing enough or making the right decisions for your child. There's always something else you could research, try, schedule or work on.

  • You don't know how you're supposed to keep doing all of this. You're the advocate, researcher, scheduler, problem-solver and Mom—and you're exhausted from carrying so much of it.

  • You've become so focused on what your child needs that you've barely stopped to consider what YOU need. You're doing everything you can to support your child, while your own needs keep getting pushed farther down the list.

You don't need one more person telling you to do more. You need a clearer way to decide what actually matters—

for your child AND for you.

I Know What It Feels Like to Wonder If You’re Doing Enough

I’m Shannon Urquiola, a Master Certified Life and Parent Coach, founder of Not Your Average Autism Mom, and mom, legal guardian and caregiver to my 30-year-old autistic son, Jordan.

When Jordan was diagnosed at five, I did what so many moms do.

I went looking for answers.

I wanted to understand autism. I wanted to know what services he needed, what therapies we should try, what the school should be doing, what I should be doing at home—and whether I was making the right decisions.

That journey eventually led me to become a Special Education Advocate. For more than a decade, I helped other moms understand IEPs, evaluations, accommodations, services and their child's educational rights. And I learned A LOT.

But one of the biggest things I learned had nothing to do with an IEP.

There is always going to be something else you could be doing for your autistic child.

Another therapy you could research. Another strategy you could try. Another goal you could work on. Another concern about school, behavior, communication, independence or the future that you could spend tonight Googling.

Thirty years into raising Jordan, I can tell you something I couldn't have understood when he was five: You are never going to figure out your child's entire future today. And you don't have to.

That's what I want to help you begin sorting through during this webinar—what matters right now, what can wait, and how to stop treating every decision like it might be the one that determines your child's entire future.

You don't have to have all the answers. You just need a clearer way to know what deserves your attention right now. And that's exactly what we're going to begin sorting through in our time together.
